Looking up the valley towards quarry entrance (hidden on right behind waste bank). Slate causeway crosses valley left to right in front. On the lower level it looks as though some waste slabs were just tipped from wagons and left to lie here. Presumably in more prosperous times the gap in front was left clear of waste for access to the quarry floor.
